Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. As a Paralegal, you will provide essential support to attorneys and assist in the efficient operation of the law firm. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and a passion for the legal field.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct document review and analysis for discovery purposes
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Conduct legal research using various resources, including Lexis-Nexis
- Organize and maintain case files and documents
- Assist in the preparation for trials, hearings, and depositions
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel as needed
- Manage projects and ensure deadlines are met
- Perform data entry and file management tasks
- Assist with contract drafting and review
- Transcribe dictations and prepare correspondence
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred
- Proven experience working as a Paralegal or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficient in using legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
