Our vital and growing firm is searching for an experienced Foreman with a clean NYS Driver’s License; to perform a variety of manual duties to support the plumbing supervisor.

Responsibilities:

Perform in all aspects of foreman work, including but not limited to:

• Lead plumbing laborers

• Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors

• Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets and procedures

• Managing projects and quality standards for all sites; manage and mentor employees 

• Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably

• Regularly reporting project status, any issues or incidents to supervisors

• Complete and submit DOT logs daily, check load and complete pre and post trip safety inspection per DOT requirements

• Operate vehicles in a safe manner, keep trucks clean inside and out, and check inspections and registrations for compliance

• Excavation by hand, load and unload cargo, must be able to handle physical workload; lift 80 lbs

• Perform work outdoors at construction sites dealing with inclement weather

• Use hand and power tools, performing grade checks, jack hammering, cuts and fills

• Lead by example, understand health and safety practices and DOT, EPA & OSHA regulations

Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Driver’s License; clean driver’s license and good driving record

• Able to lead crew, break concrete, dig for sewer / water line repair and new installation

• This is a safety sensitive position, a drug and alcohol test will be required

• OSHA SST
