Catering Server (Full-Time)

Summary:

Jorgensen Farms is made up of multiple divisions, creating a unique agritourism environment that blends organic farming

with special events. Serving clients and guests at Jorgensen’s unique event venues is the most important part of what we provide our clients. The Full-Time Catering Server is friendly, positive, and welcoming while offering experience and mentorship to other catering servers.

Responsibilities:

• Offer instruction to Catering Servers under the guidance of an Event Supervisor to ensure proper set up, execution, and tear down of all aspects of food and beverage service
• Training of new catering servers on Jorgensen catering procedures and service expectations
• Assist with loading, transporting, and unloading all needed service supplies for Barn events in the Catering van
• Proper setting of dishes, silverware, and glassware for service
• Setting up food displays and buffets
• Responsible for service of head table
• Work with the Event Supervisor to close event
• Serving and bussing throughout the event
• Working with other catering staff members and the culinary team to unload catering truck, clean all food service equipment and areas, and reload catering truck after an event
• Confidently working to meet guest needs and expectations and speak knowledgeably about Jorgensen Catering services when needed
• Whatever it takes to create a comfortable, welcoming, and supportive environment for all staff and guests
• Attend required full-time employee meetings, quarterly meetings, etc.
• Perform administrative tasks as assigned by the Catering Manager

Qualifications:

• Have a passion for weddings, events, catering, and the hospitality industry
• Have a guest-centric mentality
• Be able to analyze and solve problems while multitasking
• Be able to work on their feet for the entirety of their shift
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds consistently
• Have the ability to relate to a diverse set of team members, clients, and guests
• Be willing to work a variety of shifts, weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Have the willingness to do "whatever it takes" to get the job done
• Possess strong organization and time management skills

Experience & Education:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant full-service catering experience
• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Leadership experience
