Job Overview:

The Pharmacy Director is responsible for overseeing and managing all pharmacy operations, including multiple retail pharmacies, PACE pharmacies, Immunizations, 340B inventory, and specialty pharmacy, across Jordan Valley Community Health Center's facilities. The role ensures the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical care and services to patients while maintaining regulatory compliance and implementing best practices.

Duties: 

  • Develop, implement, and oversee pharmacy policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure safe, effective, and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical care and services across all pharmacy locations.
  • Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, and support personnel, across multiple retail and specialty pharmacies.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards and professional guidelines related to pharmacy operations and medication management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, clinical teams, and other stakeholders to optimize medication therapy and implement medication management programs, such as medication therapy management (MTM) and disease state management services.
  • Oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of pharmaceutical products, including specialty medications, across all pharmacy locations.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy services and patient care outcomes.
  • Monitor and analyze pharmacy operational metrics, financial performance, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes related to pharmacy services, patient care initiatives, and business operations.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to pharmacy staff, promoting professional development and continuous learning opportunities.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between pharmacy locations, fostering a cohesive and integrated pharmacy operation.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of electronic health record (EHR) systems, pharmacy management software, and other technology solutions to support pharmacy operations and patient care.

Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

  •  Current and valid pharmacist license in the state of Missouri. Immunization certified in the state of Missouri. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Board Certification in an area of specialty pharmacy (e.g., Ambulatory Care, Oncology, etc.)
  • Certification in Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
