  • Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate
  • Technology, Literacy Endorsement, ELA, or Advanced Degree (preferred)

  • Conduct all official business in a professional and timely manner, utilizing district technology resources.
  • Arrive to work and leave work at the time specified by supervisors and attend all required meetings pertinent to the position.
  • Maintains accurate records and filing systems for accountability and audit purposes as required by law and Board policy.
  • Solve practical problems utilizing math functions as needed to complete job duties.
  • Read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, and handbooks and apply to job duties.
Please use these essential functions in our general stipend template:The District Library and AI Specialist is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities within a calendar year:
Library System Operations (coordination With Library Support Staff)
  • Manage updates, billing, reports, and functions of the Alexandria library system (version 7).
  • Update enrollment numbers for subscription renewal and input annual district calendar data for accurate due dates.
  • Upload new student photos biannually and load new staff information, managing user accounts and access.
  • Ensure accurate student data, reconcile errors, and process/correct fees in Alexandria and PowerSchool.
Support And Collaboration
  • Address inquiries and resolve issues from media specialists and aides with Alexandria.
  • Lead PD meetings and organize training sessions for librarians and aides on the Alexandria system.
  • Serve as the communication link with Director of Technology for student data updates through Clever and PowerSchool, resolving any issues with student updates in Alexandria.
  • Collaborate with building IT for IP issues with Alexandria, including troubleshooting email functions for overdue and lost item notices.
AI Coordination
  • Lead efforts in integrating AI technologies within the district's library systems and other educational applications.
  • Coordinate AI initiatives and projects, ensuring they align with district goals and enhance educational outcomes.
  • Provide training and support to staff on AI tools and resources, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of AI implementations, making recommendations for improvements and new applications.
  • Serve as the district's point of contact for AI-related inquiries and collaboration with external AI vendors and partners.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and best practices for AI integration within the district.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Technology to ensure ethical standards and data privacy are upheld in all AI initiatives, aligning with district policies and regulations.
