Jones Contracting, Inc, is hiring a Building Superintendent.

To be successful in this position you need a minimum of 3 years of commercial construction experience. The Construction Superintendent is responsible for managing and directing the flow of work; follows safety and quality standards; coordinates with project managers and maintains daily field documents of all activities on site.

The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, with hands-on experience. Our company is looking for people with a strong work ethic, and we can provide the necessary training to become an expert in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate and develop good working relationships with management, staff, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Manage and interpret all construction documents.
• Coordination and scheduling of job site employees, equipment, and materials to complete the job.
• Oversee and assign tasks to employees.
• Create project-specific planning and execution methods.
• Responsible for job site safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Schedule and coordinate material deliveries.
• Perform quality control duties regarding the work being performed.
• Travel to and between multiple job sites.

Requirements:

• Make decisions under tight deadlines.
• Skilled at negotiating and developing relationships with owners and subcontractors.
• Demonstrate leadership abilities along with an open and willing attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Demonstrate ability to lead and motivate, direct, and address conflict with a team.
• Outstanding communication skills verbal and written.
• Excellent technical skills. Proficient in reading, understanding, and applying blueprints and job specifications utilizing various software.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly Motivated and Passionate about concrete construction. Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and its employees.
• Metal Building Erection and Concrete experience and/or training.
