Joint Research and Development Inc is Hiring a Travel Specialist Near Washington, DC

JRAD is seeking Travel Specialist candidates for positions to support health technology development initiatives for the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H).

Position Overview

Responsible for preparing and coordinating travel for Program Managers (PMs) and Office leadership, ensuring all travel arrangements and associated documents comply with ARPA-H guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Travel Coordination

  • Prepare and coordinate travel arrangements for Government personnel, including flights, accommodations, transportation, and itineraries.
  • Ensure all travel plans comply with ARPA-H guidelines and regulations.

Travel Support

  • Use the ARPA-H Travel System to prepare and manage all associated travel documents.
  • Assist Government personnel with travel-related inquiries and issues, providing support before, during, and after travel.
  • Maintain detailed records of all travel arrangements and expenses.

Documentation and Compliance

  • Prepare travel documents such as travel authorizations, vouchers, and expense reports.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all travel documentation.
  • Stay updated on travel policies and guidelines to ensure compliance.

Required Skills and Education:

Education

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Travel and Tourism, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in travel coordination or a related role.

Skills

  • Proficiency in using travel management systems, preferably the ARPA-H Travel System.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
