We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Engineer to join our dynamic team in Oklahoma City. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to designing, developing, and enhancing innovative products that drive our company's success.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the New Product Development Marketing Team in generating new ideas and bringing new innovative product concepts to life.
  • Translate product requirements and specifications into detailed engineering designs, utilizing CAD software and other tools as needed.
  • Prototype, test, and validate product concepts and designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and performance specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, creative, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
  • Work closely with suppliers and vendors to source materials, components, and technologies that meet design requirements and quality standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle, from concept development to production ramp-up.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reliability, and manufacturability, optimizing cost and time-to-market.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop product documentation and technical specifications.
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to product design and engineering.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in product engineering or related roles, preferably in the consumer goods or home improvement industry, is required.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
  • Must possess a high degree of creative, innovative, and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Familiarity and comfort with DIY and home improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a product from concept to production, focusing on innovation, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to tackling technical challenges.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset committed to delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
  • Familiarity with product development methodologies such as Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards applicable to consumer products (e.g., UL, CE, RoHS) is desirable.
