Johnston Engineering, a growing product development engineering company located in Spokane, WA, is seeking a creative and knowledgeable mechanical SOLIDWORKS designer. Johnston Engineering designs and builds products, devices and machines for many industries.

Primary Function: Design parts and assemblies, generation of drawings, model updates, redlines, and generation of BOMs. Occasional prototype build and test.

Required Skills: 10,000 hours of 3D CAD design experience, ideally in Solidworks.

Preferred Skills:

• 15,000 hours of 3D CAD design experience, ideally in Solidworks
• Ideal candidate is proficient in two or more of the following areas: design of machined parts, weldments, sheet metal parts, surfacing and design for injection molding.
• Hands-on prototype assembly and test.
• Understanding of GD&T.

Education: AA in CAD or equivalent.
