Shipping Team Member (1st shift)

Starting Pay $20.67

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safe operation of back dock forklifts, and power movers in back dock and production areas.
• Ability to learn all required SAP transactions.
• Ability to safely unload and load trucks with forklifts and power movers.
• Move product with a forklift into and out of blast freezer and put away product in freezer racks.
• Read and understand the production schedule.
• Correct use of scanning equipment.
• Understand receiving sheets and bills of lading.
• Understand shop orders and material status inquiry options.
• Know and follow all GMP & HACCP procedures.
• Help fill in on other shifts as needed to help cover absences/vacation time.
• All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS

• Ability to perform responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ability to push/pull/ lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to learn to shag trailers with our shag truck.
• Evaluation / decision making / prioritizing.
• Requires full range of body motion: standing, squatting, kneeling, upper body twisting, hand, and wrist mobility.

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to take on future learning opportunities.

GENERAL

Inside conditions include exposure to moderate noise levels, moderate odor, and presence of animal blood. Will be required to work in the blast freezer, which requires wearing thermal PPE in temperatures of -30 degrees F with a wind chill of -50 degrees F.

6:00am - 2:30pm (Schedule will adjust based on production needs)
