The Transportation Analyst serves as liaison between our Regional Transportation Organization (RTO) and US Janssen distribution centers (JOM). They are responsible for managing JOM’s transportation network to ensure optimal service to both shippers and receivers while providing tactical support on transit related issues. They will provide input and analysis for strategic JOM transportation supply chain requirements while coordinating specified RTO services as needed to support JOM. The role provides direct input into the development, implementation and reporting of various analytics projects and metrics and participates in periodic performance reviews with JOM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of transportation lanes within the Janssen Pharmaceutical network and ensure optimal service, including tactical issues, on an exception basis.
  • Deliver results across critical metrics owned by Transportation such as on-time delivery, cost improvement programs, freight spend performance vs. budget, security infraction rates, and quality results.
  • Provide input and analyze strategic transportation supply chain requirements.
  • Oversee specified transportation services, including freight management of a dedicated fleet, strategic transportation analysis, compliance, claims, freight payment activities, and deviations.
  • Lead operational site collaboration meetings along with day-to-day tactical relationship with primary carriers.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor's or equivalent University degree required

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in logistics, customer service, transportation, distribution, operations, or supply chain
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to succeed with internal and external business partners.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities successfully and work independently while demonstrating initiative to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical experience.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency including VLOOKUPS and pivot tables,

Preferred:

  • Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization systems experience

Other:

  • Requires up to 10% domestic and international travel.
  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $61,000 to $110,000 USD.
  • Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
  • Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
