In This Role You Will

• Design and implement automated unit and integration test for robotic hardware and/or PCAs
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to determine efficient approach to each development effort
• Help to structure new software and refactor existing software for testability
• Develop modular test scripts to automate test data collection and analysis
• Hold formal technical reviews with stakeholders to release software libraries, tools, documentation, and test scripts
• Defect Tracking and Control - Find, investigate and report product problems
• Interface with our automated test infrastructure

The Staff Software Engineer, NPI will Lead Manufacturing Software development activities across the organization and functional groups focusing on:
General Engineering and Leadership

• Strong leadership capabilities to lead, mentor and develop junior Engineers
• Capable of presenting complex technical problems to a wide audience of experience
• Handle the development and deployment of our automated test infrastructure
• Lead in the Software Validation strategy of scripts used during manufacturing and testing of the robotic system
• Develop coding standards to be used by the entire NPI Engineering organization
• Align teams and individuals to proper Test Infrastructure standards
• Orchestrate in the deployment of computers and computer peripherals to the manufacturing line

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and/or University degree required; focused degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
Required:

• A minimum six (6) years of relevant professional work experience
• Experience in medical robotics industry
• Experience with software version control systems such as Git
• Experience in Product lifecycle Management systems such as Oracle Agile

Preferred:

• Experience working on instrumentation automation and using scripting languages such as Python, Shell, Batch, Bash or Linux commands.
• Produce high quality documentation that is clearly understandable by internal and external personnel
• Strong level of ownership, accountability, and strive for going above and beyond

Other:

• May require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel to other locations and sites
• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $139,000 - $224,825/yr.
• This job posting is anticipated to close on 4/2/24. The Company may however extend this time-period, in which case the posting will remain available on to accept additional applications.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
