Patients First | Innovation | Winning Culture | Heart Recovery POSITION SUMMARY The Abiomed Advanced Clinical Research group leads the design and development of Abiomed Clinical Studies. Our team is currently searching for a co-op student to assist in the research and development of several upcoming clinical studies. The goals of this position would be to work on synthesizing mechanistic data (like hemodynamics) and clinical outcomes to better help design future trials. Depending on time/skills/interest the individual would investigate adjacent technologies and how they can help us understand outcomes in Impella patients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Work closely with scientific lead to perform analysis to support future clinical trials Conduct independent analyses using large datasets Conduct background research on prior studies and how they might help inform future clinical trials Research adjacent device technologies and how to leverage them in future trials. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS
Student pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering or Pre-Med
Interest in clinical research
Some coding experience (Python, R, Matlab, SQL)
Strong ability in documenting processes and reasoning
Some prior experience with statistics
Interest in wearable devices
Attention to detail - both written and visual
Eagerness to learn and explore new technologies
Excellent team player
