This role reports to the CEO with a dotted line report to President, CSO & CFO. The scope of influence and authority is defined by the responsibilities which is determined by the volume and complexity of the companies for which the Legal, Risk, and Corporate Compliance team is servicing.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all legal services needs of the Company through organizing and tracking progress of contracts, litigation, disputes, collections actions, and other legal aspects with outside counsel or internal resources as needed.
  • Manage the insurance, risk and claims management for the company including communications with brokers and carriers with respect to claims and policy renewals.
  • Work with internal JLG team to manage all corporate records and facilitate necessary corporate documentation.
  • Manage interaction with outside counsel and internal resources for executing legal services needs.
  • Track and control all requests for legal services with the goal of minimizing costs.
  • Support collection of debts via process creation and adherence for demand notices, lien filings, etc.
  • Manage inquiries from external and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain data and reporting to support Business Partner analyses of legal costs.
  • Facilitate the processing for insurance claims and associated recording and performance reporting.
  • Accumulate data used for the annual renewal of business insurances.
  • Analyze claims trends and recommend actions to minimize costs in consultation with broker.
  • Review current processes and suggest improvements that improve efficiency or address gaps in control.
  • Track, control, facilitate and maintain all required corporate documents and records including Articles, Resolutions, Agreements in support of the functioning of the business in consultation with JL AUS In-House Legal Counsel.
  • Manage business licenses, trade names, annual filings and other compliance items related to the ability to do business in states and municipalities in conjunction with the CFO.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years as a paralegal or legal assistant
  • Proficiency in legal administrative tasks
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • High-level interpersonal skills
  • Motivated leader
  • Have intermediate computer skills including Microsoft suite
  • Ability to draft legal documents with precision
  • Excellent organizational skills for file management

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
