Operates all radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment (including portables) located in the main department, ER/Radiology and O.R., for the purposes of performing diagnostic exams according to physician orders. Ensures the efficient flow of patients to maximize throughout. Ensures complete and accurate data entry and in the EMR and PACS systems.
Location: Sibley Hospital
Schedule: 2:30PM - 11:30PM
1. Knowledge of the needs of patients according to their age group and the ability to modify care according to patient’s age. Radiology Technologists will most frequently care for adults, geriatric, and adolescent patients and less frequently with children, infants and neonates.
2. Able to recognize changes in patient’s condition and act appropriately to ensure the safety and well being of your patient. Is able to read charts, physician orders, and identify contrast media reactions.
3. Ability to assist patients to and from waiting room, holding area and dressing rooms, and radiology rooms
4. Working knowledge of personal computers, keyboard, and Microsoft windows.
1. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
2. Current CPR Certification required.
