The incumbent will work onsite at JH Sibley Memorial Hospital, Washington DC and JH Suburban Hospital, Bethesda, MD
Reporting to the Director, Workforce Development, the program manager is responsible for the integrity and coherence of the Sibley and Suburban Hospital workforce development efforts. The incumbent will work closely with employees to support career development, skills enhancement, and adult program(s). Incumbent will also work closely with JHHS Central HR Office of Workforce Development to ensure alignment of efforts. The Workforce Development (WD) program manager will develop and maintain the program environment to support all projects and services within the hospitals. The WD program manager is responsible for the effective coordination of the program's projects/services and management of their operations, data, and reporting requirements as defined by JHHS & WD Director, and inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising. This will include the coordination of the new capability for the business to enable effective change and realization of projected benefits.
The WD program manager is crucial for creating and maintaining focus, enthusiasm and momentum in the program(s)/ service(s), and will provide leadership and manage multiple projects related to performance improvement in the program(s)/service(s) within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost to deliver the specified requirements, which will include, but not be limited to: a) project planning initiatives that seek to improve quality and reduce the cost and maintaining associated timelines and accountabilities; b) serving as the point of contact between the program(s)/service(s) and individual participants to facilitate communication, coordinate activities, or to gather, develop, maintain and provide operational reports and data as requested by leadership; c) supporting the program(s)/services(s) efforts aimed at optimizing documentation, data/reporting requirements and risk adjustment; d) helping to coordinate the program(s) activities between the evidence-based practices core, quality improvement, information technology, and analytic requirements; e) assisting with meeting/committee preparation, coordination, and sharing summaries.
The WD program manager will provide project management expertise to develop and implement WD project plans across the Health System, teamwork assignments, coordinating work efforts, identifying resource needs, and escalating issues appropriately. The WD program manager will identify the people, process, analytics, and technology changes needed for the program’s/service(s) successful strategy implementation and will coordinate and synchronize the efforts of the assigned entities or individuals with project management. This role will work collaboratively with other JHM strategic priorities to inform and integrate the program’s efforts and other relevant initiatives.
