General Summary:

• Under the supervision of the SPD Manager/Team Leader, performs and participates in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment according to established standards and procedures to ensure sterile and functioning supply of materials and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) from Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) OR Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) within two years of hire.
