Who you are:

As a Senior Financial & Data Analyst for Medicaid/Managed Care Medicaid at Johns Hopkins Health Plans, you are a resource, with in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge of finance in a healthcare setting. You don’t just supply data, you prepare and present financial analysis and business plans that show the impact of your proposals and highlight the potential advantages (or disadvantages) as well. You create ideas that generate additional revenues and/or produce cost savings.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop dashboards and monitoring reports to oversee high priority Priority Partners’ initiatives
  • You will coordinate, create, and monitor Priority Partners financial analytics with a heavy focus on the effectiveness of medical cost containment strategies
  • Evaluate Provider Networks, member satisfaction, and other measures of strategic effectiveness
  • Contribute to the reporting and analysis for regulatory bodies
    • Maryland DOH
    • Maryland Insurance Administration
    • National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)
  • Communicate your ideas (verbally and in writing) to senior leadership
  • May lead projects and have accountability for ongoing activities/objectives

What you’ll bring:

  • 2 years of advanced financial analysis experience.
    • Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience in a managed care setting (Medicaid highly preferred)
  • Database experience required (e.g. SQL and/or Microsoft Access)
    • With ability to access and manipulate significant amounts of complex data and produce accurate, timely, meaningful and useful reports for senior management
  • Experience with Tableau
  • Experience with Epic is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • Ideally you degree will be in Finance, Accounting, or Health Administration
  • Experience with Cognizant is preferred
