The Financial Clearance the Supervisor, Financial Clearance is responsible for supporting the day-to-day department operations for assigned area via workflow management, data analysis, and quality control of financial clearance activities. The Supervisor, Financial Clearance must have a clear understanding of revenue cycle processes from the time of scheduling, through the insurance verification processes performed during pre-registration, familiarity of governmental and non-governmental payor, managed care contracts, regulatory requirements for billing purposes and professional competency to maximize reimbursement and minimize financial risk to Johns Hopkins Hospital. The Supervisor is responsible for assisting in reviewing work schedules, individual performance evaluations, on-going training and maintaining of departmental and enterprise wide policies and procedures applicable to financial clearance activities.
