BSP provides treatment for individuals living with HIV, hepatitis, general infectious diseases and infections post-transplant. There are 8 CMAs who work together to support the 90 providers by rooming patients, collecting specimens, completing POCT and EKGs, administering injections and immunizations and assisting providers during the individual’s appointment. CMAs also have the opportunity to learn how to administer Pentamidine (HIV inhalation med), assist with GYN procedures and perform fibroscans (liver ultrasounds). There are 10 RNs who provider support and RN interventions to pts in between provider visits. RNs triage acute pt issues over the phone, see pts to manage their comorbid medical conditions, monitor provider in baskets for pt advise messages, lab and procedure results and assist pts with preventative care. There is an on-site lab, pharmacy and support team of Patient Navigators and Case Managers.
