The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Nelson 6 is a 23-bed medical floor, with capacity for 12 patients in need of cardiac telemetry monitoring. Nelson 6 is a dynamic acute care/telemetry unit that exemplifies award-winning patient care and interprofessional collaboration. Our inclusive nursing team partners with physicians, rehabilitation therapies, care management, and support staff to provide exemplary patient care to diverse patients with complex co-morbidities. The service provides care for a multitude of medical diagnoses including patients presenting with heart failure, liver failure, respiratory failure, and end stage renal disease. Nelson 6 is an excellent floor to elevate critical thinking and communication skillsets. It is a nurturing unit to invigorate your nursing career, refine your clinical skills, or cultivate your leadership skills. Resiliency and support are prioritized for all staff members through a relaxing break “Zen Den,” lunch buddy system, preferred scheduling, and mentorship. Shifts: Full Time, 12 hour Rotating shifts.

Who Should Apply:

• BSN/MSN preferred. Associate degree candidates encouraged to apply!
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
• BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted

(Applicants with an Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program may be considered; provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of hire)
