Sibley Memorial Hospital is a non-profit, full service 318 bed acute care community hospital serving the Washington, DC area. Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopaedic, skilled nursing inpatient services, and a state-of-the-art 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley's campus, with its new patient tower, is also home to the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, the Johns Hopkins National Proton Therapy Center, Grand Oaks -- an assisted living residence -- a medical building with physician offices and an ambulatory surgery and imaging center.

The Bone and Joint Health Nurse Navigator functions on the multidisciplinary team as an advocate, interpreter, educator, and counselor for Sibley Institute of Bone and Joint Health patients. The Navigator will coordindate patient care throughout the continuum in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.

Who should apply:

• One year’s experience in orthopedic nursing; one year’s experience in staff/patient education
• Currently licensed in the District of Columbia
• Education Required - At a minimum, should have baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing as a Registered Nurse
• Orthopedic Nursing Certification
• Preferred – Master’s Degree in Nursing (or other comparable graduate education degree)
