About this position:
The Periop Nurse Educator Serves as a clinical consultant and educator for the staff of the Perianesthesia, and Procedure areas, including Pre/Post Surgical, PACU, SASC Pre/Post, Endoscopy/OP Recovery, and Radiology Nursing. Plans, implements and evaluates staff education programs for orientation, internships, practicums, competencies and in-services. Responsible to update and maintain the Perianesthesia and Gastroenterology standards of care including policies and procedures. Reviews current literature for best practice and incorporates findings to both clinical practice and education programs. Observes staff in their roles and makes recommendations on practice. Acts as both a consultant and resource for the staff. Supports data collection and analysis of process improvement efforts.
