Johns Hopkins Medicine is Hiring a Neuro Navigation and Imaginging Engineering Technician Near Baltimore, MD

Johns Hopkins Interventional Neuroradiology team aims to offer the best minimally invasive treatment and diagnostic imaging for adults and children with a wide range of conditions involving the brain, the head and neck region, and the spine and spinal cord. Our endovascular and interventional specialists use state-of-the-art minimally invasive image-guided techniques to deliver therapeutic agents through the skin (without the need for open surgery), allowing for shorter hospital stays, faster recovery, and decreased procedure risks. We also specialize in diagnostic cerebral and head and neck angiography and spinal angiography.

We are currently searching for an Neuro Navigation and Imaging Technician. As the Imaging Navigation Technician, you will provide clinical support to physicians and OR personnel during surgery with the usage of intraoperative neuro navigational software and hardware products. This would include working with multidisciplinary teams in the operating rooms (Radiology, Central Sterile Processing, Biomedical staff) before, during and after surgery. Some duties would include:

  • Analyzing, resolving and repairing product issues;
  • Utilizing expertise to contribute to the quality improvement process;
  • Recommending product modifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, Biomechanical engineering or other related field
  • Three (3) years experience in clinical IT systems, operating room or interventional procedures OR attended and advanced imaging program
  • Knowledge of radiographic equipment and intraoperative navigation systems with the ability to troubleshoot equipment preferred

Full Time (40 hours)
