Full Time/Day Shift

Position Summary:

• Reports to the Operations Manager and/or Director of Clinical/Ambulatory Services.
• The Lab Supervisor oversees and leads the work activities of assigned clinical and non-clinical employees.
• Assists the Manager/Director with developing department goals, objectives, operational policies and procedures.
• Responsible for monitoring adherence to hospital, applicable Pathology Dept. and departmental policies and procedures in the department across all shifts.
• Assists in the development and administration of the department budget.
• Performs other related administrative and professional duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• Requires an Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related healthcare field, and/or equivalent experience gained through a related discipline.

Work Experience:

• A minimum of two years supervisory experience required.
• In addition, at least three to five years of progressive healthcare experience is required.
• Laboratory or phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Required Licensure, Certification, On-going Training:

• MLT (ASCP) or certification specific to laboratory assignment is preferred.
