Job Summary
Responsible to proactively identify, develop, implement, and maintain security processes, practices, and policies throughout the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) to mitigate security risks and to effectively respond to security-related incidents. Monitors security conditions and conducts ongoing analysis of data received from both external and internal sources and advises hospital leadership on recommended risk mitigation strategies as appropriate. Develops security education programs to raise employee awareness levels relating to employee personal security, workplace violence, and the protection of JHACH property. Researches and deploys security technology solutions and innovative security practices and techniques to safeguard health system assets. Provides management and oversight of the security and daily parking operations to ensure the delivery of quality services to the hospital’s patients, families, visitors and employees. Conducts ongoing analysis of parking operations and makes recommendations to leadership to improve efficiency and effectiveness as appropriate. In collaboration with key stakeholders, develops strategic plans for JHACH Security and Parking to meet the future needs of the organization. Supports the development and administration of a proactive drug diversion committee. Oversight of security, access systems at all outlying OCC centers.
