The Johns Hopkins Hospital

Medicine / Telemetry Unit, Nelson 3, is a 23-bed medical unit with 12 telemetry beds. On the unit you will provide care for a variety of complex adult medical patients with acute gastrointestinal, cardiac, renal, hepatic, endocrine, sickle cell, hematological, and respiratory disorders. The team uses a multidisciplinary approach to care, utilizing physicians, case managers, homecare, pharmacy, PT/OT, and social work to provide quality and safe care while supporting the patient and their family.

Shifts: 12 Hour Night Shifts

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Active Nursing Assistant Certification in Maryland is required
• 1 year of acute care (hospital) tech experience during the most recent 2 years is required (EMT or CRT experience may be considered)
• BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted

Clinical Technicians at The Johns Hopkins Hospital have the opportunity to provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as a contributing member of the health care team. Ongoing education is provided to all Clinical Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year, you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit, which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.
