Johns Eastern is accepting applications for a full-time Property Damage Field Adjuster in the Worcester, MA area. This is a trainee position. Applicants with 2 to 3 years of experience will be considered. No prior claims experience is required. This position will require travel throughout New England. Training will be provided by Johns Eastern. Interested candidates need to have a Bachelor’s degree or a construction trade experience and exhibit the following characteristics:

• Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks
• Great analytical skills
• Excellent communication/customer service skills, both verbal and written
• Commitment to continuing education through The Institutes
• Convey a positive attitude and team work for optimum provision of services to clients
• Computer literacy, including MS Office, Word and Excel

Candidate must be willing to travel to Blue Bell, PA (Philadelphia area) for training in our Blue Bell, PA office, followed by meeting in the field for onsite property damage inspections through the training period.

Travel: The position is for daily non-catastrophe claims.

Physical Demands:

• Physical ability to travel for day-to-day field work and to attend training as needed.
• Ability to load and unload equipment as well as bend, walk, and climb for consecutive hours while inspecting damaged property.
• Must be able to carry and climb a ladder, as well as conduct roof inspections.
Able to sit in a vehicle and drive long distances.

Other Physical Abilities: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
