We are a 100 year wholesaler, importer, and distributor of over 200 varieties of specialty produce focused on offering the highest quality products while providing exceptional customer service. Located in the Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market, we offer services to customers within most of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast including Philadelphia, New York, and DC metro regions. You would oversee a team of 10-12 sales staff, mainly inside sales. This is an onsite position reporting to their Philadelphia office. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Wholesale ProduceSales Manager to lead and support our sales teams in setting and achieving revenue and profitability targets to grow our business. You should have a proven track record of successfully managing sales professionals, achieving sales targets, and building lasting customer relationships. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, forecasting sales projections, and collaborating with other departments to drive revenue growth. The Sales Manager leads and manages the performance of the sales teams and is accountable for designing and implementing strategies and activities to improve product movement and programs and to achieve customer objectives. You will also schedule and lead sales meetings, create business plans, deliver regular staff reviews, and report progress to management. What’s in it for you:

What you will do:
Develops effective strategic sales plans for established customers and drive the acquisition of new accounts.
Creates and implements tactical sales plans that drive measurable growth and agreed upon margins.
Monitors sales activities and performance to ensure actual sales meet and/or exceed the revenue plan.
Owns objectives setting, coaching and performance results of sales representatives.
Coaches, trains, and motivates sales team members in developing new accounts.
Completes performance reviews and provides ongoing performance coaching and development to team members.
Participates in recruiting, selection and new-hire onboarding and training activities to ensure a successful team and organizational integration.
Meet or exceed company sales growth and margin objectives.
Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands our customer base and extends JVI’s reach
Represent customer feedback and present sales reports to management
Coordinate training and development of the sales team
Represent sales team and their issues within the company and to customer base
Responsible to produce regular, agreed upon sales reports for management
Become proficient in internal ERP system and provide support to production and office staff
What it takes to be successful:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
3 to 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in fresh wholesale produce
Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets is preferred
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and sales analytics tools
