The Onb oarding Coordinator at John Soules Foods will support Human Resources in conducting the orientation and onboarding of new hires, will be responsible for scheduling training classes, organizing and preparing orientation materials, presenting courses, and effectively measuring training efforts whil e helping new hires transition into their new roles .
Responsibilities :
Conducts new hires orientations.
Creat es employee personnel files (Electronic File System)
Enter new hire information on GHR system.
Prepar es , organiz es , and fil es all paperwork for new hires.
Develop s and promotes a positive working environment .
Responsible for communicating company rules, policies, and procedures to new hires either verbally, through electronic media, or classroom discussions.
Administer, track, and evaluate the Orientation process to seek improvement.
Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure new hires have proper training for successful onboarding.
Collect s company required documents from new hire including b ut not limited to safety documents, tax documents, employee orientation completion documents, food safety documents, benefit documents, etc.
Utiliz es Alchemy training system to conduct new employee training.
Assig ns locker s to new employees , and administers employees company lockers, locks, and lock combination.
Responsible for understanding portions of Avigilon security control system to complete duties responsible. ( Badges management system)
Participates in employee relations activities (luncheons, picnics, appreciation events)
Participat es in other human resources activities as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Previous training experience a plus
Must be able to effectively communicate with others, Bilingual is a plus.
Must be competent in the use of a variety of computer systems for business purposes.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Professional communication and demeanor.
Ability to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner to employees.
Excellent presentation skills and ability to foster an atmosphere of teamwork with others.
Able to work independently.
Must be willing to work in a plant/industrial environment.
Education and Experience:
High school degree
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience training and mentoring others in a work environment
Physical Requirements:
Prolong periods of standing, sitting and walking
