A local hospital located outside of Charlotte, NC is in search of an experienced nurse manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their Inpatient Corrections Unit. The manager will be responsible for supervising the nursing staff, providing direct patient care, and ensuring that patients receive the appropriate care they need. We are looking for a nurse leader with management experience in the field of medical-surgical and knowledge of correctional medicine. Experience: Five years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting is required. Two years of supervisory experience is required. Extensive knowledge of
the unit's patient population, healthcare trends, community and regional resources, and service availability to these populations. An ability to establish working relationships with diverse groups and individuals, medical staff, and other healthcare disciplines
Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing. Master of Nursing (MSN) preferred.
License/Certification: Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a Compact State required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through the American Heart
Association (AHA) required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and NIHSS stroke scale certification with the American Heart Association (AHA) required if the unit specified
