**Description**
Respected as a premier, family-owned business**, JOCKEY** is currently hiring an experienced full-time 1st shift **Security Officer** at our corporate headquarters in **Kenosha, WI** (near **Milwaukee, WI** and **Chicago, IL** areas). In this role, youll ensure all departments within Jockey are supported with a safe and secure facility and respond to all emergency situations.
In this role, you will:
* Manage the safety and security operations at the corporate office ensuring employees and visitors are communicated with in a courteous and professional manner.
* Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
* Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns/safety hazards.
* Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
* Permit only authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
* Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements.
* Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
**Candidate Qualifications:**
* High school degree or the equivalent required. Advanced degree preferred.
* General security knowledge desired (gained through classroom or work experience).
* Professional demeanor; excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
* Excellent problem solving and prioritization skills.
* Excellent multi-tasking and decision-making skills; able to work independently.
* Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
* Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
* Ability for prolonged standing and walking.
* Ability to work in all weather conditions (this role will be primarily patrolling the outdoor parameters of the building).
* Valid drivers license with good driving record.
* Available to work 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM).
**SCOPE OF POSITION:**
This position has no direct reports. Occasional extended hours and abnormal work hours are required. The person in this position will be required to carry a cell phone for on call and general daily direction.
