Description:
We are seeking a skilled Globalization Technical Project Manager to join our team for a
temporary project at Block, Inc. As part of the Globalization department, you will play a vital role
in:
● Managing and enhancing localization processes to support Square's international growth.
● Collaborating with professionals across various teams and utilizing technical expertise to
ensure the effectiveness of our globalization tools.
Duties:
● Manage Phrase TMS and Orchestrator to:
○ Enhance localization processes.
○ Handle user management, system configurations, and troubleshooting.
● Serve as the administrator, product manager, project manager, and user-acceptance tester
for our proprietary TMS.
● Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to:
○ Integrate third-party tools with existing localization tools.
○ Increase process efficiency.
● Utilize JIRA and other project management tools to:
○ Define project requirements, workflows, plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
○ Implement and oversee these aspects.
● Develop and maintain system and user documentation for clarity and accessibility.
● Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to:
○ Promote localization best practices.
○ Advocate for technical improvements.
Skills:
● 2 years of experience in administering translation management systems, with a preference
for Phrase TMS.
● 2 years of experience in automating end-to-end continuous localization processes.
● Technical project management experience, collaborating with engineers to develop or
maintain software.
● Skilled in user requirements extraction and prioritization.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Proven ability to deliver technical programs from inception to completion.
● Proficient in writing technical documentation.
● Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology is a plus.
● Multilingual capabilities beyond English are desirable.
Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, or equivalent work
experience.
● Ability to work remotely.
Education:
2-yr community college or 2 years technical experience
