Requirements of position
We are seeking positive and professional candidates with the following traits:
  • Must know how to troubleshoot, problem solve, load bank, knowledge of ATS systems and be familiar with generator controls.
  • Self-motivated, customer-service driven-technicians with a respected background of following established procedures as well as engaging in complex problem-solving to provide solutions to generator issues in the field.
  • Capable of thorough understanding mechanical and electrical theory and application.
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers of varying levels of technical expertise to clearly explain issues, and solutions in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Can communicate effectively and professionally with employees at all levels within the company as well as with equipment manufacturers and other vendors.
  • Ability to mentor other service technicians by sharing their knowledge and experience.
  • Organized and focused, managing their time well and not letting anything fall through the cracks.
Professional Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in servicing, maintenance/troubleshooting, repairing engines for all fuel, engine including transfer switch and/or switch gear. Proficient using computers and field service software.
  • Work well under pressure, in all weather condition 24/7.
  • Ability to handle multiple duties and tasks safely.
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Must be very familiar with working tools standard / metric conversions measurement.
  • Able to read and work with the Electrician's Volts Multimeter.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Must be available and willing to work various shifts, weekends, holidays and answer rotating on-call shifts.
  • Must be able to safely operate heavy equipment as well as a forklift in accordance to OSHA regulations.
  • If hired, must be able to verify eligibility to work in the United States and have a valid and clean Florida Driver’s License.

  • Installation and Setup: Install and configure new generators and related equipment according to manufacturer specifications and local codes.
  • Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance on generators, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspection of components.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues with generators.
  • Repairs: Perform repairs on generators and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Testing: Test generators and transfer switches to ensure proper operation and readiness for power outages.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers regarding the status of their equipment and provide recommendations for maintenance and repairs.
  • Emergency Response: Be available for on-call emergency repairs and support during power outages or critical situations.
