Maintenance - Refrigeration Technician

JobSource Downey is currently looking for a Refrigeration Technician for a food production warehouse located in Vernon

All Employees MUST have 6 months of recent experience in Maintenance Refrigeration Technician

Job Details:

The Refrigeration Technician position is responsible for a variety of HVAC/R equipment for our industrial and commercial customers, through daily service maintenance, performing diagnostic reviews and identifying the root cause for any needed repairs.

Duties:

• To perform this job, an individual must be able to perform the following:
• Maintains, repairs, and conducts Preventative Maintenance (PM) on anhydrous ammonia refrigeration equipment in safe and efficient manner
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for PM’s, repairs and return equipment to fully operational status
• Read and understand technical drawings (P&ID’s, blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) to repair/maintain equipment
• Work as a team member with productions, maintenance and other technicians to support the facilities in the repair and maintenance of equipment
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to understand workload and record actions (e.g., workorders, asset/labor history, inventory usage)
• Utilize computerized refrigeration control system to monitor, adjust and optimize system
• Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates)
• Operate powered equipment (e.g., scissor lift, boom lift) during PM’s and repairs
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance on various ammonia refrigeration systems
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of refrigeration equipment

Pay: $28- $30
