The Senior Accountant and Operational Support Specialist provides financial and operational support to the College of Education Dean’s Office, Office of Student Services, and the departments of CEA, CASMA, and UI REACH. This position provides financial support for all units as assigned by monitoring, reviewing, and reconciling financial transactions and preparing, monitoring and reporting on unit budgets. The position assists the Director of Finance and Budget Operations on projects related to the budgeting process, year-end closing, monitoring accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. The position provides operational support relating to human resources and information management for CEA and CASMA. Budget planning, management, review and reconciliation of accounts for numerous contracts and grants is a crucial aspect of the position, along with the ability to act independently with respect to all aspects of the position.
This is a 100% effort position (40 hours/week), Monday – Friday. Hybrid options may be considered after training period. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.
