Description

Perform tasks, duties, and operations in the servicing, repair, and upkeep of all company fork trucks and other powered vehicles and associated support equipment as needed.

Requirements

• Analyzing and diagnosing problems and sudden vehicle breakdowns
• Ability to recommend the correct service and repair actions
• Assist technical manager with projects and activities as needed
• Perform weekly, monthly, and quarterly maintenance as scheduled
• Scheduling and performing preventative maintenance projects
• Expected to keep daily logs for the service and repair tasks.
• Assist with internal Safety guidelines and OSHA procedures
• Participate in special projects, as required. Travel may be involved to other facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years of mechanical experience 
• Understand Preventative Maintenance documentation, inspections, and repair histories 
• Understand parts and service warranty procedures and other duties as assigned.
• Willingness to work overtime or modified hours to complete projects 
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in changing situations
• Responsible for maintaining all fork trucks and other powered vehicles as directed 
• Responsible for associated support equipment as directed
• Must be able to read instructions, including electrical and hydraulic schematics. Electrical troubleshooting is a must.
• Ability to pass drug test and general background check

Working conditions

This is a full-time position but also requires individuals to be able to work in hot and cold weather.

Physical requirements

At times, this position may require individuals to constantly be on their feet. Should not have any lifting restrictions. They must be able to stand for long periods, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, climb, and be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
