About this position

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer proficient in Perl, Python, and JavaScript to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing development requirements, writing technical specifications, and participating in the technical design and implementation of software development projects. This role involves developing, testing, and maintaining object-oriented Perl/Python modules, application scripts, and reporting scripts. Additionally, the candidate will create and modify database objects, write complex SQL queries, and develop JavaScript user interfaces. The position requires managing multiple projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality solutions within specified timelines.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze development requirements and write technical specifications.
• Participate in the technical design and implementation of software development projects.
• Develop, test, and maintain object-oriented Perl/Python modules, application scripts, and reporting scripts.
• Create and modify database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to access required data from multiple enterprise systems/data sources.
• Develop, test, and maintain JavaScript user interfaces.
• Create and maintain group Autosys jobs.
• Follow best practices and deliver using an end-to-end quality approach.
• Collaborate with other developers to analyze, improve, and fix existing software components.
• Estimate accurate timelines for development work and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Document development work, user guides, internal documentation, and release notes.

Skills/Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of Perl/Python experience in systems/software development in a Unix/Linux environment.
• Practical experience with designing and implementing object-oriented Perl/Python applications.
• Proficiency in using and writing Perl/Python modules.
• Minimum of 3 years of JavaScript experience in systems/software development in a Unix/Linux environment.
• Database design and development experience, preferably in Sybase.
• Object-Oriented Perl - Intermediate Level.
• Object-Oriented Python - Intermediate Level.
• Strong SQL skills with an ability to write complex queries.
• JavaScript - Intermediate Level.
• Unix/Linux - Intermediate Level.
• Autosys - Intermediate Level of JIL knowledge.
• Experience with HTML5, RCS/GIT, jQuery, Performance Management, Agile Framework, and Jira is desirable.

Pay/Salary Range:

• Pay Range: $54-$64/hour.
