About the role

Lead Corporate Security Operations at the Jacksonville, FL headquarters building as part of the Global Corporate Security team reporting directly to the Global Security Director. Primary responsibilities include managing physical security operations, conducting risk assessments, crisis management program support, and security training and awareness.

About the team

Corporate Security mission is to protect FIS staff and assets against physical threats. We provide cost-effective, productivity-enhanced, technology-based solutions supporting and underpinning the FIS security strategy. Our objectives include:

  • Provide a secure environment for FIS to protect people, physical assets and information.
  • Respond to and provide intelligence for life safety events affecting FIS interests.
  • Provide direction for all corporate security activities within the organization.
  • Act to ensure security processes are performed in full compliance with all regulatory, legal and clients' contractual security requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive physical and environmental risk review and analysis process.
  • Liaise with federal, state and local law enforcement, and investigative and emergency services.

What you will be doing

  • Enhance the Physical Security program in the headquarters building and establish strong working relationships and trust with key leaders and teams.
  • Liaise with functional and operational management to determine Security needs and ensuring they are met.
  • Oversee the design, justification, scheduling, budgeting, implementation, and management of physical security programs to optimally balance systems, staff, risk, and budget to protect employees, visitors, vendors, assets, and infrastructure.
  • Establish strong working relationships with key individuals and teams that will be essential to accomplishing the Corporate Security program objectives.
  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements. Direct program of contracted security services (both human and electronic) in execution of business requirements as measured by SLA’s, KPI’s, and other indicators; as well as maintain Facilities-related indicators. Serve as the primary interface and liaison with public safety organizations.
  • Maintain relationships with local, state, and federal police and other related government agencies. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to direct investigations into breaches of security. Develops close working relationships with management, company peers and industry counterparts to ensure alignment of company goals with current corporate security industry and regulatory trends.
  • Coordinates and implements physical security operations and activities to ensure protection of assets while ensuring optimal use of personnel and equipment. Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to develop and implement security best practices. Assist in creating and implementing physical security procedures in accordance with corporate policies, regulations, directives, and operating procedures.
  • Define, plan, coordinate, drive and execute security upgrades and retrofits for projects. To include, identifying and sourcing local vendors and providers. Ability to assess and evaluate systems to make appropriate remediation actions, recommendations, and notification escalations.
  • Conduct routine risk/threat assessments and make recommendations as needed to mitigate risk; as well as identify security gaps and opportunities and develop appropriate mitigation recommendations and plans from a multidisciplinary perspective.
  • Research and deploy state-of-the-art technology solutions and innovative security techniques to safeguard organizational assets. Performs staff leadership role and promotes motivation through effective management and mentoring.
  • Establishes goals and objectives for team performance and manages attainment of those goals. Reviews documentation created by team members and peers to provide constructive feedback. Keep senior management apprised on the status of security issues and initiatives.
  • Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions. Remain flexible to ever changing environment; adapt well to different situations.

What you bring:

Bachelor’s degree in in law enforcement, criminal justice, security or related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. 10 years’ of experience in corporate security operations and compliance disciplines.

  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization and impart the importance of required Security protocols.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Able to communicate and be diplomatic in dealing with employees across a variety of sensitive Situations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing Program and Project Management.
  • Ability to provide training and present to small or large audiences, self-motivator with people management leadership qualities.
  • Contract management strategically focused on budget management.
  • Working knowledge of security technologies, access control and video security systems technologies
