SAME DAY HIRE WITH IN-PERSON INTERVIEW! For those contacted to interview, must come IN-PERSON to our ALLEN PARK office. Employees drive on the public roads in the greater Detroit area delivering Stellantis vehicles to various yards in DETROIT.

All employees MUST be eligible to work ALL days of the week. You will be scheduled for 4 days of work and 3 days off. There are NO guarantees as to which days are work days and off days.

DAY SHIFT - 7:00AM - 5:30PM NIGHT SHIFT - 7:00PM - 5:30AM

• Must be at least 23 years old
• At least 2 years of US licensed driving experience
• May not have any major violations within the last 5 years.

Major Violations shall mean:

• Driving while intoxicated (DWI/OWI), implied consent, any suspension of the driver's license for failure to submit to alcohol testing.
• Driving under the influence (DUI/OUI) implied consent, any drug related violation or any suspension of the driver's license for failure to submit to drug testing that as/have occurred within the five (5) years prior to the inception date of this policy or to the date of hire of the driver, whichever is the later.
• Manslaughter or negligent homicide.
• Felony involving a motor vehicle.
• Racing
• Hit and Run
• Reckless Driving
• License suspension for points
• Driving while license suspended
• Fleeing/Eluding arrest
• Multiple driver licenses not reported to the underwriters
• Drivers in excess of 100 miles per hour that has occurred within the last five (5) years or to the date of hire of the driver, whichever is the later.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for driving and parking vehicles in a safe manner.

Position Responsibilities:

• Ability to drive an automatic and standard transmission vehicle.
• Work in all weather conditions, including rain and snow.
• Transport new vehicles on public roads (from one yard compound to another).
• Strong focus on safety and alertness.
• Variety of work driving many types of cars and models
• Perform inspections on vehicles prior to moving them to ensure all damage is noted and reported to the Van Lead.
• Alert Van Lead of any damages and unusual or recurring faults with vehicles.
• Responsible for all VASCOR-assigned equipment. (In Transit Plates and Placards)
• Adhere to all Rules of the Road, which includes obeyance of all speed limits.
• While in the VASCOR storage yards, comply with all safety-related recommendations.
• Advise Van Lead if a vehicle is low on gas, has a flat tire, or has dead batteries.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Education

• Prefer High School Diploma or GED.

Training

• Training will be provided on the job.

Skills

• Basic driving skills

Experience

• Must have a valid operator’s license
• Have a minimum of 10 years of driving experience

On the job the employee must:

Have natural or corrected eyesight capable of conducting inspections in varying levels of light.

Have normal range of hearing, or corrected hearing, to be able to respond to normal workplace sounds including approaching vehicles.
