Job Description
The Principal Solutions Architect is responsible for collaborating with product teams, customers, and engineers to establish agreement and devise solutions aligned with top priorities. Additionally advocates for best practices amongst the development and engineering teams, championing Agile, DevOps and Microservice principles.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:
  • Provides consulting services to Senior Management related to the alignment of business needs with IT systems and business strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and technical requirements.
  • Evaluate existing software systems, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Design end-to-end software architectures that align with best practices for scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Oversee the implementation of mission-critical systems, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Customize software solutions to address unique business challenges.
  • Optimize performance by leveraging technologies such as microservices, APIs, and cloud services.
  • Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance within the architecture.
  • Provide technical guidance to development teams during the software development lifecycle.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept (POC) experiments to validate architectural decisions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Develops soft cost models for business alternatives, operating and project budgets.
  • Assists with Requests for Proposal, contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, and other legal considerations for area of responsibility.
  • Assists with attracting, hiring, retaining, and motivating talent.
  • Identify compliance risks and take actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks.
  • Champion, within the organization, a commitment to honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior.
  • Create a culture of inclusion within the organization and foster an environment where employees feel comfortable reporting potential violations or misconduct.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • 10 years of experience as a Software Engineer/Architect or similar role leading in the design and delivery of software development/technology products.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills. Strong consulting skills with the ability to advise and make recommendations, provide assistance or help with planning from a basis of personal expertise where no formal or direct reporting relationship exists. Speaks effectively and clearly with the ability to influence others in both positive and negative circumstances and produce the best outcome. Ability to negotiate successfully with vendors to secure the most favorable terms for Caesars. Creates an environment of teamwork and cooperation. Responds quickly and effectively to changing business environment.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and Microservices principles, SQL & NOSQL databases, cloud platforms and Java, C# and/or JavaScript.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field OR equivalent work experience.
