As a Traffic Engineer, you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of urban transportation. This role is not just about solving today's traffic problems, but also about envisioning and creating sustainable and efficient transportation systems for the future. You will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where innovation and creativity are highly valued. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, planners, and designers, working on projects that have a direct impact on the quality of life of millions of people.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed traffic studies and analyses to identify and address traffic issues and challenges.
  • Develop and implement traffic management plans and strategies to improve traffic flow, safety, and efficiency.
  • Use traffic simulation tools to model and predict traffic patterns and to evaluate the effectiveness of proposed traffic solutions.
  • Design and optimize traffic control systems, including traffic signals, signage, and road markings.
  • Collaborate with urban planners and civil engineers to integrate traffic engineering considerations into urban development plans and projects.
  • Participate in public consultations and stakeholder meetings to communicate traffic plans and proposals and to gather feedback.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in traffic engineering and transportation planning, and apply innovative ideas and technologies to your work.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in traffic engineering.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Transportation Planning, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic engineering or a related field.
  • A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Proficiency in traffic simulation software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex traffic issues and challenges.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to deliver results on time and within budget.
  • A passion for creating sustainable and efficient transportation systems, and for improving the quality of life of people.
