We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tool and Die Designer to join our dynamic team. The selected candidate will be part of a fast-paced, innovative environment, where they will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes for our automotive products. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
As a Tool and Die Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Designing and developing tooling, dies, and equipment for manufacturing processes, primarily in the automotive industry.
2. Utilizing your expertise in rubber, automotive plastic, and injection molding and extrusion of thermoplastic/thermoset materials to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing operations.
3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that tooling and die designs meet the needs of the manufacturing process and product design.
4. Conducting feasibility studies and simulations to assess the viability of new tooling and die designs.
5. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with existing tooling and dies, implementing modifications and improvements as necessary.
6. Ensuring all activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
7. Keeping abreast of latest advancements in the field of tool and die engineering, and implementing new technologies and methodologies as appropriate.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Tool and Die Engineer position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry, specifically in the areas of tool and die design and development.
2. Proven experience with rubber and automotive manufacturing, automotive plastic, and injection molding and extrusion of thermoplastic/thermoset materials.
3. A degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, is preferred.
4. Advanced proficiency in CAD software and other tool and die design tools.
5. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
6. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
7. A proactive and innovative approach, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and implement effective solutions.
