Tax Accountant- Hybrid in San Antonio

The firm provides tax and financial services to many clients both small and large over a wide geographical area. The Tax Accountant would work along side experienced team members to grow and learn. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in tax accounting, but we are open to considering candidates with more experience. • The applicant would need to be able to reliably commute to Floresville, Texas to train until they would be allowed to work remotely. At that point, the position could take on a hybrid structure where the applicant would have regularly scheduled days of remote working capability.

What will the Tax Accountant Do?
The Tax Accountant will prepare income tax returns and perform any necessary bookkeeping services to provide excellent service to clients. As the Tax Accountant progresses in their role, they will take on more direct client interaction to encompass more of the overall engagement process.

• Prepare and review tax returns for small businesses and individuals across a range of industries
• Communicate with clients to gather information necessary for tax preparation
• Assist clients with tax planning and compliance
• Stay up-to-date on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
• Other duties as assigned

Experience needed for the Tax Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in tax accounting
• CPA preferred, but not required
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
