Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Pre-Litigation Supervising Attorney, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing and managing the pre-litigation department, ensuring all cases are progressing efficiently and effectively.
2. Providing guidance, mentoring, and supervision to a team of associate attorneys and paralegals.
3. Reviewing and signing off on demand packages for personal injury cases.
4. Collaborating with the litigation department to transition cases smoothly.
5. Ensuring compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
6. Conducting performance reviews, providing feedback, and developing training programs to enhance the skills of the team.
7. Participating in the hiring and onboarding process of new team members.
8. Developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures to improve efficiency and client service.
9. Keeping abreast of latest developments in personal injury law and civil litigation to maintain professional competence.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Active membership in the California Bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience in California, specifically in personal injury law.
4. At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably as a Supervising Attorney.
5. Proven experience as an Associate Attorney for 3-5 years.
6. Excellent knowledge of pre-litigation processes and procedures.
7. Strong leadership and team management skills.
8. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
9. Outstanding problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
10. Proficiency in legal research and ability to handle a high volume of cases.
11. Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
