Job Details
We are a thriving nonprofit research institute with a 50-year history of success. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll within ADP WFN, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
- Adhere to relevant tax and labor laws during payroll processing.
- Regularly reconcile payroll and bank statements with internal records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Invoice customers and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting procedures and processes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Work closely with auditors during financial and operational audits.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Proficiency in ADP WFN or similar payroll processing software.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to reconcile bank statements and manage invoicing effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify discrepancies in financial data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience in a nonprofit organization is a plus.
