As a Permanent Senior Tax Auditor, you will be a key player in our dynamic, fast-paced Finance team. This role is critical to the successful operation of our business, ensuring that we meet our regulatory obligations and effectively manage our tax liabilities. You will be responsible for overseeing and conducting comprehensive audits of our tax records, identifying any areas of risk or non-compliance, and working closely with other departments to implement effective solutions. Responsibilities:
1. Plan and perform tax audits in accordance with accepted professional standards and prepare detailed reports of findings.
2. Examine and evaluate financial and information systems, recommending controls to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
3. Review tax returns, payments, necessary papers and documents for correctness, ensuring compliance with tax laws and detecting tax evasion.
4. Confer with taxpayers or their representatives to discuss the issues, laws, and regulations involved in returns, and to resolve problems with returns.
5. Identify potential tax credits and liabilities and ensure accurate and complete returns are filed in a timely manner.
6. Advise management regarding the tax impact of corporate strategies.
7. Implement corporate tax strategies to ensure the most efficient use of resources and tax compliance.
8. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and procedural audits.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 8 years of experience in Tax Audit.
2. Big 4 experience is highly desirable.
3. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) status is a plus.
4. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5. Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
6. Familiarity with industry software and platforms.
7. Excellent communication, strategic planning, and project management skills.
8. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
