Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with organizational goals and product/architecture vision.
- Lead and mentor teams across cloud engineering, DevOps, SRE, and cloud governance functions, fostering continuous improvement, innovation, and agile practices.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and management of scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure.
- Guide the development and implementation of cloud-based applications and services, promoting the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and DevOps practices.
- Monitor and manage cloud infrastructure for optimal performance, availability, and cost efficiency, implementing cost-saving measures.
- Maintain cloud environments in compliance with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements, ensuring robust security measures.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and implement disaster recovery/business continuity plans.
- Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives for existing workloads and applications, collaborating with teams for successful execution.
- Work closely with development, operations, security, and business teams to integrate cloud solutions, providing technical support and mentoring.
- Promote knowledge sharing and training on cloud technologies and best practices across the organization.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines focused on cost, security, quality, uptime, and reliability.
- Embrace continuous improvement, documenting and refining cloud/DevOps practices, and facilitating team member onboarding and training.
- Implement and manage monitoring tools and dashboards to enhance observability and streamline troubleshooting.
- Ensure cloud environment compliance with InfoSec, business continuity, disaster recovery, and organizational governance.
- Handle on-call duties, system troubleshooting, and maintenance as necessary.
- Provide technical guidance on best practices, code reviews, design communication, and adherence to requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or relevant experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in DevOps and/or cloud engineering or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
- Proven experience in a senior cloud engineering or architecture role with expertise in one or more primary cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure services, networking, security, cloud governance best practices, and disaster recovery/business continuity principles.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker).
- Relevant cloud certifications are a big plus
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills for complex cloud issues.
- Ability to analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
- Proficiency in cloud cost management, budget forecasting, and cost optimization.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Experience in developing and implementing cloud governance policies, processes, and best practices.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and driving innovation.
- Experience implementing best practices with Agile methodologies and DevOps / 12 Factor Application Methodologies.
- Experience with Healthcare industry domain preferred.
