We are seeking a seasoned Senior Database Administrator to join our dynamic technology team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The chosen candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's database systems. This role requires a deep understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices, along with a proven ability to translate complex business needs into functional solutions.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and maintain data models for application and data warehouse use.
2. Implement and manage database security protocols to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
3. Perform database performance tuning and optimization using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
4. Regularly perform database backups and recovery procedures to ensure data availability and integrity.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and business solutions.
6. Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new database technologies and initiatives.
7. Develop and implement data administration policies and procedures.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
9. Conduct research and make recommendations on database products, services, protocols, and standards.
10. Prepare and maintain documentation of database design, configuration, and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
**TS/SCI with Poly is required for this position**
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree would be a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
3. Proven experience with Data Warehouse, including design, implementation, and maintenance.
4. Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
5. Proficient in SQL and other database languages.
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
8. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
10. Up-to-date knowledge of technology trends and developments in the field of database administration.
