This is a permanent role that offers an excellent opportunity to play a vital part in our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project accounting, ledger management, reconciling accounts, making entries, and using Deltek software. With at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, you will be expected to provide strategic insights and financial leadership to our team.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Managing all aspects of project accounting such as budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control for various construction projects.
2. Maintaining and managing the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
3. Reconciling all accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data.
4. Utilizing Deltek software to automate and streamline accounting processes and procedures.
5. Providing accurate, timely financial information to company management for decision making.
6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
7. Assisting with financial audits and providing necessary information to auditors.
8. Working closely with other departments to ensure financial operations are aligned with overall company goals.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or similar qualification is preferred.
2. At least 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in project accounting, ledger management, reconciling accounts, making entries, and using Deltek software.
4. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry standards.
5. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
